McCain Snaps Again on Immigration

Asked by Ryan Sager of the New York Sun about Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson using the immigration issue against him, McCain said he was "disappointed" in Thompson, but reserved his harshest comments for Romney.
"In the case of Governor Romney, maybe I should wait a couple of weeks and see if it changes, because it's changed in less than a year from his position a year before, and maybe his solution will be to get out his small varmint gun and drive those Guatemalans off his lawn."

What? I have visions of Bill Murray's character in Caddy Shack.
There is no love lost among any the thieves over there in BushWorld these days. Instead of turning of the President that is causing all this tension, they take it out on each other.
Break out the popcorn. This is better than watching a movie.
Who cares about McCain? Why are we talking about McCain instead of touting the virtures of our own candidates? What a waste of time and resources.
Speaking of which, I supported Democrats because, first, I am a lifelong Democrat, but second, because I believed the Democrats would do something about the war in Iraq. Many Americans of both parties shared my view which is why Congress's approval rating has risen lately. But, unfortunately, for reasons no one has bothered to explain to the public, the Democrats have now decided to go along with Bush.
Somebody pointed out in a thread yesterday that the Dems are better than the alternative. That's true, and that's a pity. It doesn't make me choose to vote Democrat or to donate money to Dems. What it does is it produce an apathetic non-voter. If, despite your best efforts, you discover that some process is beyond your ability to influence, you don't invest much in it. Instead you just stand back and watch it, disgruntled maybe, but hey, what can you do?
I feel at the moment that politics is a fool's game. I hope I feel better about it by election day.
