Bush Fundraises for McCain

Posted by Matt Ortega on May 27, 2008 at 06:20 PM

President Bush is appearing with John McCain tonight in Arizona -- the presumptive GOP nominee's home state. You would think this would be a major attraction, no?

The event was originally scheduled for the Phoenix Convention Center but, due to a lack of interest, was moved to a private residence -- with no press.

An event in Utah was also downsized for the same reason.

John McCain's campaign is terrified of being seen with President Bush. They didn't even mention it in their morning e-mail to reporters.

There isn't any lack of interest...just disbelief that this is the best the GOP has to offer. Or perhaps the high gasoline prices have made it hard for the Hummer owners to afford to get to these events?

The whole country has been downsized since Bush took over. Perhaps the prospect of Third Term McCain running the country positively frightens even Republican contributors?

Downsize with McCain...Watch the country go All the way down the drain.

trying to make sense of this. mcsame hitting w up for campaign bucks. shucks why not instead from his wife's beer empire? doesn't look like he's disassociating from w. smells of w trying to buy a 3rd term. heck mcsame doesn't need any lobby folks, got w. next will be shotgun dick. heard halliburton has deep pockets thanks to us american taxpayin' folks too. think mcsame will use an excuse to travel to iraq to visit troops but instead hit up halliburton?

Yep, embracing an idiotic war criminal like George W. Bush is one sure way to ruin an campaign. Then Mcsame never had much of a chance to begin with. Because this is the same idiot that claims the economic problems in my state of Ohio psychological. When I know that it's not the case. I honestly think people are starting to realize that Republicans are responsible for the mess this country is in and the Democrats would be the ones to look to be able to clean Bush's mess up.
