McCain gives his environment speech at a wind company after failing to stand up for it as an alternative source:

Conservative presidential candidate Sen. John McCain chose a clever but ultimately hypocritical location for his big climate speech. I hope the media aren't fooled by his ironic choice of wind turbine company Vestas as the backdrop, but I have little doubt they will run enticing photos and videos of wind turbines. [...]

In December, McCain himself failed to show up for a key vote that would have extended the wind power production tax credit, which has been a key driver of wind power in this country -- allowing it to compete with our better-subsidized power sources (like nuclear) in this country, and to partly offset the much bigger subsidies other countries have for renewables.

Oh, why?...oh, why, do I mistrust the republicans when they talk about the environment!!!

Let us examine our experience with ethanol fuel:

1) Ethanol yields only 10-20 % fuel for every pound of input fuel. 80-90% of the energy needed to manufacture the ethanol goes up as pollution in the environment. Even though ethanol burns cleaner, the net effect of the entire production cycle of corn to ethanol, because of is poor efficiency, it pollutes more!
2) Ethanol has caused a shortage in the corn market and increased the price of corn.
3) The industry is supported by middle class tax increase or net debt borrowing to support an inefficient fuel source.

Therefore the net effect of republican entering the market caused:
a) More pollution,
b) More taxes and borrowing making USA poorer.
c) More cost increases in our food prices.

I do not trust any republican that voice green!! Like I stated before the ultra-right has supported the ultra-left and delivered a net poor solution for our society as a whole.

McCain has "not" said he will use the Envirement going green to create a lot more jobs. ** Hillary has!**

OBama has been fairly quiet about the issue. I don't know what he plans to do but I am sure it is better than McCains ideas?
