“Trump and his Wall Street advisors can’t explain how his plan will help the middle class—but one thing that’s clear as day about this plan is it gives trillions to Trump’s wealthy friends, and the 1%,” said DNC Chair Tom Perez. “Trump’s plan is brought to you by Wall Street.”
 
  1. Trump will not release his tax returns 
QUESTION: “My second question is, will the president release his tax returns so that Americans– “
MNUCHIN: “The president has no intention.”
 
  1. The White House won’t say how much Trump benefits from his own plan 
QUESTION: “Exactly a year ago, then-candidate Trump was asked if he believes in raising taxes on the wealthy and he said, ‘I do, I do, including myself, I do.’ So my question is, why isn’t he doing that and will the president end up paying more or less taxes as a result of this plan?”
MNUCHIN: “I can’t comment on the president’s tax situation since I don’t have access to that, okay?

QUESTION: “You mentioned middle class tax cuts. Middle class families watching this tonight on the news, a family of four, median income of $60,000, what does it mean for them?”
COHN: “It’s going to be a tax cut.”
