USA Today: Democrats have many 2020 prospects. Our 12 debates will help them and voters

Yes, Democrats will have a big presidential field. That’s a challenge but it’s welcome. Teams with deep benches are the ones that win World Series.

Democrats won big last month. Coast to coast, up and down the ballot, the American people embraced our party’s message of hope and opportunity for all. And they put Donald Trump and the Republican Party on notice.

This success didn’t happen overnight. We made history by organizing early and everywhere. We fielded great candidates who led with Democratic values, broke down barriers, and inspired millions of voters to make their voices heard.

The wind is at our back. Now we have the chance to build on our success by taking back the White House in 2020.
