IN THE STATES: DNC Launches Defend Choice Week Of Action

In the states this week, the DNC launched a Defend Choice Week of Action to mobilize volunteers and engage voters around Republicans’ efforts to ban abortion nationwide following the overturning of Roe v. Wade. 

As part of the Week of Action, the DNC launched a six-figure TV ad buy in states across the country to highlight comments from Republicans on banning abortion and directs viewers to get involved in the fight to protect abortion access at DefendChoice.org – an online hub where volunteers can easily connect with the coordinated field campaign in their state, sign up to make calls or send texts through Democrats’ national distributed organizing program, and share their own personal story about the importance of protecting reproductive rights.

In the states, Democrats across the country have been holding events this week to mobilize voters around Republicans’ extreme anti-choice agenda as part of the Week of Action. 

Meanwhile, on Monday, local leaders from across the country joined President Biden and Vice President Harris at the White House to celebrate the passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, which is the most significant legislation to reduce gun violence in the last 30 years.
