PHOTOS: DNC, Terry McAuliffe Continue Ice Cream Truck Tour in Roanoke to Celebrate America Coming Back This July Fourth

Today, the Democratic National Committee’s Ice Cream Truck Tour made a stop in Roanoke ahead of the Fourth of July holiday with Terry McAuliffe to celebrate Virginians coming back together after a year of hardship and separation.

Thanks to the leadership of President Biden and Democrats across Virginia, more than 70% of adults in the state have received at least one dose of the vaccine, COVID-19 cases and deaths are down, and families are reuniting to celebrate together this summer.

“The pandemic has brought unprecedented health and economic challenges to our country, but thanks to the leadership of President Biden and Governor Ralph Northam, our country and our Commonwealth are coming back to life this July Fourth,” said Terry McAuliffe. “The American Rescue Plan, which extreme Trump Republicans like Glenn Youngkin have repeatedly attacked, has provided much-needed relief to families and businesses across the Commonwealth. But it’s just the start. In order to build a post-COVID economy that lifts up all Virginians, we must work together and continue to invest in our shared future — creating good-paying jobs, making health care more affordable, and investing in education and critical broadband infrastructure.”
