Throughout the Month of August, Bus will Travel Across the Country to Highlight How Democrats are Delivering for Working Families

Today, the Democratic National Committee’s “Build Back Better” bus tour made a stop in Atlanta, Georgia with DNC Vice Chair Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Democratic Party of Georgia Chair Congresswoman Nikema Williams, and a local parent and business owner. During the stop, the speakers highlighted how President Biden and Democrats are delivering for the American people with the creation of more than four million jobs, tax cuts for middle-class families, and lower health care costs.

“Because of the American Rescue Plan, we won’t just get back to where we were before this pandemic. We’re going to build back better,” said Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. “We have delivered for the American people, and we want to ensure that Americans know that the Democratic Party and our leaders have their back. We’ve come so far in just six months, and I’m excited to continue to work shoulder to shoulder with President Biden and Vice President Harris to move the president’s agenda forward.”

“Georgians sent President Biden and Vice President Harris to the White House to deliver relief and opportunity for working families and build our country back better, and the Biden-Harris administration continues to make good on that promise,” said Congresswoman Nikema Williams, Chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia. “Over the past five months, the American Rescue Plan has helped millions of workers, families, farmers, schools, and small businesses safely get back on their feet. As we continue to move forward, Georgia Democrats will keep fighting for the president’s economic agenda so that our country can bounce back stronger than before and win the 21st century.”
