PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Democratic Party has a new mission – to elect democrats from the school board to the Oval Office – and real momentum! We have engaged in unprecedented efforts to seize the energy and resistance born in 2016, and then sustained and strengthened through 2017, to build a sustainable winning infrastructure and win elections.

  • We have reinvested in state parties, increasing their monthly support by 33% and also introducing reporting and metrics for greater accountability.
  • We have been rewarding innovative programming – for base, millennial, and rural organizing; for electoral opportunities and need; and for infrastructure work – via the State Party Innovation Fund, the first of its kind competitive grant fund for state parties.
  • We have been on the ground, bringing together community leaders, organizations, elected officials, activists, state and county parties, and more as part of the Winning With Partners tour.
  • We will be rolling out new training opportunities and materials, and sharing lessons learned as well as tools and technologies through the Best Practices Institute.
  • And we launched IWillVote, a brand new online and offline campaign to inspire a conversation about voting.

IWillVote is an unprecedented campaign to reach 50 million voters and engage, educate, and mobilize them to vote for Democrats in 2018. Because when more people vote, Democrats win.

Through an online and on-the-ground effort, we intend to translate activism and marches into committing to vote, registering to vote, and voting for Democrats on Election Day across the country. IWillVote will feature fresh content, innovative tools and technologies, and online and on-the-ground organizing strategies.
