Women for the WIN
Women were a critical force in sending President Biden and Vice President Harris to the White House and ensuring they had Democratic majorities in the House and Senate. For the upcoming election, we know women will once again be a critical voting bloc and mobilizing force for Democrats!
Women for the WIN is an initiative, created by the DNC and the DNC’s Women’s Caucus, to provide women with the resources to organize their communities in ways that work for them. Together, we will build Democratic women’s political power and elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
WHAT WE’RE FIGHTING FOR
Elevating Gender Equity
A Judiciary Reflecting America
President Biden appointed Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to serve as the first Black female Supreme Court Justice. Additionally, about three-quarters of the federal judges confirmed under the Biden-Harris administration have been women.
Equality for ALL
Right after taking office, President Biden signed an executive order to prevent and combat discrimination on the basis of gender identity and sexual orientation.
The president issued a presidential memorandum to protect and expand access to comprehensive reproductive health care and to revoke a global gag rule that prohibits federal funding for organizations providing abortion counseling or referrals.
President Biden and Democrats’ American Rescue Plan directed nearly $1 billion for domestic violence and sexual assault prevention and services, including $49.5 million for diverse, community-based organizations that help survivors access the services and support they need.
Maternal Health Matters
The Biden-Harris administration has taken steps to address racial disparities in maternal health, including efforts to reduce complications and mortality in the year following birth.
