In response to Trump overruling his own Treasury Department’s newly-announced sanctions against North Korea because he “likes” Kim Jong Un, DNC Deputy War Room Director Daniel Wessel released the following statement:

“This is totally insane. Trump is overruling his own administration to side with a murderous dictator because he ‘likes’ him. After making significant concessions to the rogue regime and legitimizing Kim Jong Un on the world stage in his first summit, and walking away with nothing in his second summit, Trump is once again giving Kim Jong Un another win. Trump’s Twitter account has taken the place of any serious policy process — and he is making us less safe.”
