Chair Harrison announced today new communications leadership at the DNC. Adrienne Watson has been named communications director. Ofirah Yheskel will serve as deputy communications director, and Danai Pointer will be communications outreach director.
“Adrienne is one of the most talented and seasoned communicators in our party, and we are thrilled that she’s agreed to take on this new and important assignment,” said DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. “With Adrienne, Ofirah and Danai at the helm, we are ready to communicate our president and our party’s priorities, policies and principles to the American people.”
In addition to running the War Room, Watson has held a long list of prominent communications roles within the party, including DNC national press secretary, spokesperson for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, communications director for Correct the Record, and a variety of communications roles in the House and Senate.
