As Russia indiscriminately bombs civilians in Ukraine, Marjorie Taylor Greene has made it clear she stands with President Putin in the face of Russian aggression. DNC spokesperson Adonna Biel released the following statement:
“Marjorie Taylor Greene’s latest comments are not only abhorrent, but also a reminder this behavior is nothing new for the Republican Party. For four years, Republican lawmakers excused Trump withholding military aid from Ukraine, they stood silently by while Trump emboldened Putin and undermined our allies, and now many even voted against delivering military aid to Ukraine. While President Biden unites the world in opposition to Russian aggression and has implemented unprecedented consequences, it unfortunately comes as no surprise that many Republicans are choosing to stand on the wrong side.”
