DNC spokesperson Ammar Moussa released the following statement following confirmation Donald Trump met with Nick Fuentes at a dinner with Kanye West:

“If it was any other party, breaking bread with Nick Fuentes would be instantly disqualifying for Trump. The most extreme views have found a home in today’s MAGA Republican party.”

REMINDER: Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar were featured in Fuentes’ white nationalist conference just a few months ago. Kevin McCarthy has promised to restore both Taylor Green and Goser to committees if he wins Speaker.

CBS News: “The firestorm erupted over the weekend when Greene and Gosar spoke at the far-right America First Political Action Conference at a hotel in Orlando, Florida, an event organized by Nicholas Fuentes. Fuentes, a white nationalist activist who gained national prominence after he attended the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, has praised Russian President Vladimir Putin as “brilliant” in recent days as he ordered his military to invade Ukraine.”

The Washington Post: “To aid in his quest to clinch the speakership, McCarthy has promised to restore committee assignments for Greene and Rep. Paul A. Gosar (R-Ariz.), add more members to the influential steering committee and place Freedom Caucus members on their preferred legislative committees.”
