Ron DeSantis is boasting about his new extreme abortion ban that bans abortion before many women know they’re pregnant, while Florida women with potentially life-threatening pregnancy complications are being denied care. Needless to say, DeSantis is doubling down on his anti-abortion extremism as he continues to try to out-MAGA the 2024 field.

SHOT: Ron DeSantis said today about his latest extreme abortion ban, “That was something that we were very proud to do.”

DeSantis: “Well, our protections for life are protections for unborn child when there’s a fetal heartbeat. And then there’s exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother. And that was something that we were very proud to do. It’s going to save a lot of lives in Florida. And it was the right thing to do.”
