As Ron DeSantis attempts to reboot his disaster of a campaign, he’s now trying to spin his yearslong record of supporting election conspiracy theories and January 6 insurrectionists… but has Ron DeSantis met Ron DeSantis?

DeSantis has said he’d consider pardoning some January 6 insurrectionists — including rioters and people charged with assaulting law enforcement. 

The Hill: “DeSantis says he’ll consider pardoning Jan. 6 defendants, including Trump”

The Independent: “Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Thursday said he would ‘aggressively’ use presidential pardons to free people who’ve been charged or convicted of crimes – including former President Donald Trump.”

The Hill: “‘I’m going to do on day one, I will have folks that will get together and look at all these cases, who people are victims of weaponization or political targeting, and we will be aggressive in issuing pardons,’ DeSantis said on ‘The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show’ podcast when asked about whether he will consider pardoning Jan. 6 defendants, including Trump, who is currently facing a federal investigation over his role on Jan. 6.”

DeSantis has a long history of downplaying the violence from the January 6 insurrection — and it was as recent as this summer that DeSantis publicly refused to admit Trump lost the 2020 election.

DeSantis has even used his power in office to support election deniers and insurrectionists.
