In response to Tim Scott suspending his 2024 GOP primary campaign, DNC spokesperson Sarafina Chitika released the following statement:

“There wasn’t much to remember about Tim Scott’s sad, lackluster campaign that lit millions of dollars on fire to not even make it to Iowa. We thank him for spending his campaign reminding Americans that, from top to bottom, this GOP primary field is the most extreme in history, hellbent on passing a national abortion ban and gutting Social Security and Medicare. We won’t miss him, but we know his constituents must be glad to know there’s one less excuse for the Senator to miss yet another vote.”
