Trump Orders MAGA Republicans to Shut Down the Government
December 18, 2024
In response to Donald Trump calling on congressional Republicans to shut down the government, DNC Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement:
“Donald Trump and his MAGA allies are once again putting themselves and their own reckless agenda ahead of the American people. Trump is ordering Republicans to shut down the government and inflict real pain on hardworking Americans across the country because he doesn’t care about the needs of working families, just his own petty political interests. Let’s be clear: Trump and his MAGA Republicans broke a bipartisan agreement and now own any shutdown that comes out of their wildly irresponsible and out-of-touch priorities.”
