In response to new reporting that Donald Trump is in the Epstein files, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:

“This is an unprecedented government cover-up unraveling in real time. Republicans shut down Congress to avoid releasing the Epstein files. The Attorney General buried a list that she said was on her desk, ready to be released months ago. The President said these files were made up. And now we’ve learned that Donald Trump is not only in the Epstein files, but he has also known that for months. Trump: What are you hiding? The American people deserve to know whether this cover-up is just the tip of the iceberg.”

Wall Street Journal: “Justice Department Told Trump in May That His Name Is Among Many in the Epstein Files”

“When Justice Department officials reviewed what Attorney General Pam Bondi called a ‘truckload’ of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein earlier this year, they discovered that Donald Trump’s name appeared multiple times, according to senior administration officials. …

“FBI Director Kash Patel has privately told other government officials that Trump’s name appeared in the files, according to people close to the administration. … 

“On July 15, an ABC News journalist asked Trump, as he took questions from reporters at the White House, what Bondi told him about the Epstein files: ‘Specifically, did she tell you at all that your name appeared in the files?’

“‘No, no, she’s—she’s given us just a very quick briefing,’ Trump responded.”
