ICYMI: Democrats Launch Nationwide Organizing Campaign to Register Voters During National Voter Week of Action
September 16, 2025
Yesterday, the DNC, ASDC, and Young Democrats launched a new organizing initiative to uplift National Voter Registration Week of Action. As a part of the DNC’s commitment to organize everywhere, Democrats are registering voters across the country: from college campuses, to stadium events and farmers’ markets. With 50 events across 27 states, this National Voter Registration Week of Action, Democrats are meeting new voters where they are and building the Democratic infrastructure we need to win up and down the ballot in 2025, 2026, and beyond.
Take a look at some of the coverage below:
On Broadcast:

On MSNBC: “The Democratic Party has announced it will host a week-long nationwide event to increase its voter rolls with a focus on battleground House districts.”

On WRIC: “The Democratic National Committee is holding a voter registration event at VCU today. It comes just days before early voting starts on Friday… Today’s voter registration event at VCU is hosted by the DNC but it’s an opportunity for anyone to get registered ahead of November’s election…”

“The Democratic National Committee is launching a weeklong effort, beginning Monday, to register voters across the U.S. as the party tries to rebound this November and then in the 2026 midterm elections, NewsNation has learned.

“Democrats say they’re taking their game to farmers markets, stadiums, and at least 30 college campuses in both blue and red states.
“‘We’re building the infrastructure to win everywhere,’ DNC Chair Ken Martin said. …
“‘We’ve outperformed or won in 42 out of 43 key elections this year, and, coming out of our organizing summer campaign, the next step is to ensure these victories bring us closer to long-term Democratic majorities. That’s the core work of the DNC and exactly why we’re all hands on deck this week,’ DNC spokesperson Abhi Rahman said.
“The DNC says they are focused on races up and down the ballot, but gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia are considered high priorities. In July, the DNC announced it had plans to make initial investments of $1.5 million to support the Democrats in each state.”

“While the party has in past years left voter-registration efforts in the hands of outside groups, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair, Ken Martin, said now is the time to get directly involved again with a drive he dubbed the National Voter Registration Week of Action.

“The DNC plans to hold the events to which Martin referred at venues such as stadiums and farmers’ markets, in coordination with state parties and college Democrats. Martin said the push was a follow-up to the DNC’s ‘organizing summer’ where the Democrats expanded their volunteer base to 41,000 people and interacted with 1.6 million voters.”
