NEW: Manufacturing Sector in Peril as a Result of Trump’s Disastrous Policies
December 1, 2025

Donald Trump’s economy is sinking to new lows as economic data today reveals that the manufacturing sector continues to suffer irreparable damage due to Trump’s disastrous policies.
Blue-collar jobs are collapsing under Trump, and the S&P Global PMI November report found that “[T]he health of the US manufacturing sector gets more worrying the more you scratch under the surface.” In addition, today’s November ISM Manufacturing PMI Report shows that “economic activity in the manufacturing sector contracted in November for the ninth consecutive month,” while prices continued to rise, as they have during each month of Trump’s term.
Trump promised “a manufacturing renaissance,” but instead unleashed reckless tariffs that are jacking up costs, slashing jobs, and causing orders to fall. No wonder new polling shows that Donald Trump’s approval rating has reached a new low for his second term.
In response, DNC Rapid Response Director Kendall Witmer released the following statement:
“Trump promised the American people that he would lower costs and bring a ‘manufacturing renaissance.’ What did we get instead? Soaring inflation, widespread layoffs, and desperate consumers. Prices continue to climb, the manufacturing industry is bleeding, and Americans are stretching their pockets just to make ends meet — all while Trump’s administration asks struggling Americans to ‘have a little bit of patience.’ Trump has no real plans to deliver for working families. Instead, he sold them out to line the pockets of his ultrawealthy friends, bail out foreign countries, and build his $350 million gold ballroom.”
