NEW: Trump and Vance’s “Deal” with Iran is “Over”

Trump and Vance’s war with Iran continues with no end in sight as Americans foot the bill

At the NATO summit today, when asked about the ceasefire and memorandum of understanding with Iran, Donald Trump said, “I think it’s over,” adding, “I don’t want to deal with them anymore.” In the last 24 hours, the U.S. military launched new strikes against Iran around the Strait of Hormuz, and after Trump’s remarks today, global oil prices surged more than 5%.

Trump and Vance’s unpopular war of choice with Iran has already cost Americans roughly $1,000 per household as the costs of gas, groceries, and other expenses skyrocket. The war has cost taxpayers at least $132 billion so far, and now the Trump administration is asking for $80 billion more for the war.

In response, DNC Rapid Response Director Kendall Witmer released the following statement:

“Donald Trump and JD Vance got America into this deadly and costly war with Iran and it’s clear they don’t have a way out. Meanwhile, Americans who were already drowning in Trump’s economy are scraping to get by as prices at the pump and the grocery store have failed to come down. As Trump’s war rages on and taxpayers foot the bill to the tune of billions of dollars, Americans can’t even rely on Trump to care about their financial situations because he’s already admitted out loud that he doesn’t think about that ‘even a little bit.’”
