The DNC congratulates JoAnna Mendoza on her victory in the Democratic primary for Arizona’s 6th Congressional District — a race that will help flip the House of Representatives in November.
In response to JoAnna Mendoza’s victory, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:
“As a retired United States Marine Corps Drill Instructor and dedicated community leader, JoAnna Mendoza has a record of fighting for the rights and wellbeing of all Arizonans. Every time her country and neighbors needed her, she answered the call — from enlisting in the U.S. Navy at just 17 to serving Arizona in the years since. In Congress, she will fight to protect healthcare, bring down the cost of gas and food, maintain safe communities, invest in child care, support veterans, and protect public lands. The DNC is ready to help JoAnna win this seat, flip the House, and make life more affordable for families throughout Arizona.”
