DNC Hits Dean Heller In New Billboards
August 14, 2017
After Senator Dean Heller voted with his Republican colleagues to take health care away from millions of Americans, the Democratic National Committee will be holding Heller accountable for his vote by launching both a mobile video billboard and stationary billboard near the Las Vegas strip. These new ads come on the heels of a recent poll showing only 22% of Nevadans approve of Dean Heller’s job performance and 50% of Nevadans would vote for Heller’s Democratic opponent.
“Senator Heller broke his promise to improve health care for his constituents, voting for a bill that would take health care away from millions of Americans. A repeal of the Affordable Care Act would result in as many as 371,000 Nevadans losing their health care, and cause Nevada to lose 22,100 jobs,” said DNC Chair Tom Perez, “While Senator Heller and Republicans remain committed to an agenda that prioritizes the wealthy, Democrats will continue to fight for working families in Nevada and across the country and Nevadans will hold him accountable in November.”
The ads will start running the week of August 14th – the middle of August recess when instead of holding town halls and meeting with constituents to answer for his votes – Dean Heller is nowhere to be found.
