In response to Deb Haaland’s victory in New Mexico’s gubernatorial election, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:

As a tribal leader, successful legislator, and accomplished Secretary of the Interior, Deb has consistently served her neighbors and been a proven fighter who stands up for working families. As governor, she will continue to deliver for New Mexicans by bringing down costs, expanding access to healthcare, strengthening public education, making housing and childcare more affordable, supporting workers, protecting public lands, and investing in communities across the state.”
