In response to Dr. Fauci’s warnings of the danger of a second wave of the coronavirus crisis and that the consequences could be “really serious,” DNC Deputy War Room Director Daniel Wessel released the following statement:
“By all measures, Trump’s coronavirus response has been a catastrophic failure—and he’s not done yet. Trump has already determined that the war is over, despite failing to implement an adequate federal testing strategy that is necessary to safely reopen our economy.
“Trump and his advisors enjoy the benefits of extensive testing and contact tracing that is being conducted at the White House, while the American people fight on the front lines without those same tools. They deserve a leader who they can trust to look out for them, and who won’t abandon them in the time of need.”
