DNC Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement in response to the July jobs report, which shows that the economy added another 943,000 last month:
“Today’s jobs report is proof that President Biden’s economic plan is working. Thanks to President Biden and Democrats, Americans are getting hired at record rates, paychecks are going up, and the economy is shattering expectations. While there is still more work to be done, including passing the rest of President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda, his leadership has our country headed in the right direction.
“While Republican lawmakers have tried to block all progress from this administration, President Biden and Democrats continue to work tirelessly to build our country back better and deliver for hardworking Americans.”
