DNC Hispanic Media Director Enrique Gutierrez issued the following statement in response to tonight’s “Latinos for Trump” event in Miami:
“Florida Latinos know firsthand of Trump’s record of broken promises, vicious attacks and how his destructive policies have hurt them and their families – they’re not buying his pathetic outreach efforts. Venezuelans know he refuses to grant TPS to those seeking to escape Maduro’s regime. Puerto Ricans know he held up disaster relief aid for months. Cubans know Trump’s assault on asylum seekers has blocked families from being reunited. The reality is everything he has done has harmed our diverse communities and nothing he or his cronies say or do will change that. Florida Latinos are looking forward to voting Donald Trump out of office in the upcoming elections.”
