DNC spokesperson Elizabeth Renda issued the following statement in response t0 Republican Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas’ long record of fiscal and departmentalmismanagement:
“From mismanagement across city departments to mismanagement of $28 million worth of hard-earned taxpayer dollars, Ted Gatsas has proven time and again that he is unfit to serve as Manchester’s mayor. The Queen City deserves a leader who will wisely invest in the future of Manchester, not a failed mayor who will frivolously spend $1.3 million on cosmetic renovations to his office and City Hall while public schools suffer. They deserve better than having to turn to the press to stop a fire station from closing and to the Attorney General to get domestic violence cases prosecuted. That’s why the DNC is proud to stand with Democratic candidate Joyce Craig, who has a plan for fiscal responsibility in Manchester and will stand up to politicians like Gatsas. Last week, the DNC announced a five-figure investment in the New Hampshire Democratic Party that will assist Democrats running up and down the ticket in the state.”
