Help secure wins for Democrats up and down the ballot on November 3.

DNC Statement on Alaska Primaries

Following the Democratic primary in Alaska, DNC Chair Tom Perez released the following statement:

“I am thrilled to congratulate Alaska Democrats on a successful primary night, and look forward to working with our candidates, including the next governor of Alaska, my friend Mark Begich, and the next congresswoman from Alaska, Alyse Galvin, as we organize for victory in November. Mark is not only a son of Alaska, he’s exactly the type of forward-thinking leader the state needs in the governor’s office. As Mayor of Anchorage and then U.S. Senator, Mark has fought tirelessly for Alaskan families. And he’s never been afraid to reach across the aisle to find solutions to tough problems – a talent that will serve his constituents well.

“The people of Alaska deserve a leader who will fight for access to affordable health care, good-paying jobs, and a secure retirement, just as he has already done throughout his career. His dedication to reaching rural voters reaffirms what we already know: Mark fights for all Alaskans. We look forward to sending Mark Begich to the governor’s mansion and electing Democrats up and down the ballot come November.”
