DNC Statement on Donald Trump’s Rally in Iowa

In a desperate attempt for relevance, Donald Trump is holding another rally today. DNC spokesperson Ammar Moussa released the following statement: 

“Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Donald Trump’s stranglehold on the Republican Party speaks to their complete ideological bankruptcy and is the anvil around their necks going into 2022. The Republican Party remains beholden to a president who oversaw millions of lost jobs, hundreds of thousands of lives lost, and a violent assault on the Capitol and police officers. While Republicans have failed to lead, President Biden and Democrats continue to deliver for Iowans and Americans in ways Trump and Iowa Republicans are desperate to claim credit for — but voters recognize Democrats continue to deliver record job gains, leadership out of the pandemic, and an agenda to lower costs for families and ensure the ultra-wealthy and corporations pay their fair share.”
