 In another performative stunt from the man who saluted the January 6 rioters, Josh Hawley is now threatening to block critical nominees to the State and Defense Departments. DNC Spokesperson Ammar Moussa released the following statement:
“Is there no bottom for Republicans? The idea that Josh Hawley, or any Senate Republican for that matter, would block experienced and qualified nominees to national security positions for purely political purposes is appalling and another clear indication of the ideological bankruptcy in the Republican Party. Every single Senate Republican should immediately condemn Hawley for the way he is jeopardizing our national security and quickly vote on this administration’s nominees to critical positions.”
