In response to the Supreme Court’s ruling in Mullin v. Doe, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:
“By permitting the Trump administration to terminate Temporary Protected Status for Haitians and Syrians without proper review, the Supreme Court has once again allowed Trump to racially discriminate against immigrant communities. Like we saw after the Supreme Court allowed the ICE agents to discriminate against people based on the color of their skin or the language they speak, Trump will use this decision to double down on his attacks on immigrant communities, potentially putting American citizens and their family members at risk. Democrats recognize the critical contributions immigrants make to local communities and to our country, and we will continue to defend their rights and dignity.”
