DNC Statement on Supreme Court’s Refusal to Block Texas Abortion Ban

Today, the Supreme Court refused to block the Texas abortion ban, endangering reproductive health and harming pregnant people in the second-largest state in the nation. DNC spokesperson Adonna Biel released the following statement:

“Today’s action is a result of a decades-long, systemic effort by Republicans to strip Americans of their constitutional right to an abortion. Republican lawmakers are directly responsible for the danger posed to reproductive health every day SB8 remains a law. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Abortion is on the ballot. Republicans will be held accountable for their war on reproductive health care.”
