Despite a “no” vote from every single Republican in Congress, millions of middle-class families across the country saw a tax cut hit their bank accounts last week thanks to President Biden and Democrats’ American Rescue Plan. 

Meanwhile, according to new polling, the majority of parents believe these payments — which are also expected to cut child poverty in half — will give them a financial boost.
