Three million pages of the Epstein files have still not been released
New reporting shows that documents in the Epstein files contain classified material – with several missing pages leaving it unclear what has been withheld or why. Donald Trump’s Attorney General Todd Blanche previously claimed that no documents were withheld or redacted for containing classified information.
After promising to release the files on the campaign trail, Trump and his administration spent months repeatedly calling the Epstein files a “Democratic Hoax,” a “scam,” and “bullshit,” while scrambling to make the scandal go away as information emerged that Trump’s name is all over the files.
Trump’s DOJ is still sitting on about three million pages of the Epstein files that have not been released, which is in direct violation of the Epstein Files Transparency Act. An investigation found that Trump’s DOJ withheld some of the Epstein files related to serious allegations about Trump.
In response, DNC Spokesperson Jaelin O’Halloran released the following statement:
“Almost two years later, Donald Trump and his administration are still trying to cover up the truth behind the Epstein files. Instead of delivering transparency and accountability for Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes as Trump and JD Vance pledged on the campaign trail, the Trump administration is still attempting to dupe and deceive the American people while millions of pages remain unreleased. Trump and his administration should release the remaining files and stop protecting pedophiles and the ultra-rich elites who enabled Epstein.”
