Across Battleground States, DNC, DSCC, and DCCC Launch Ad Highlighting Democrats’ Tax Cut For Middle-Class Families

Today, the Democratic National Committee launched a new ad campaign with the DSCC and DCCC across battleground states to promote the expanded Child Tax Credit’s monthly payments, which will start hitting Americans’ bank accounts today. The joint digital advertising campaign highlights how this tax cut that Democrats delivered to middle-class families is expected to cut child poverty in half — and yet every Republican voted against it.

Democratic leaders want voters in key states to know which party is responsible for the checks Americans with young children are set to start receiving on Thursday.

A new digital ad campaign targeted to key Senate and House midterm races touts the expanded monthly tax credit of up to $300 a child hitting Americans’ bank accounts as a middle-class tax cut delivered by President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats. The tax credit was included in the pandemic relief package (Public Law 117-2) that Congress passed on a party-line vote in March.

“We are making sure Americans know this contrast is clear,” Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison said in a statement. “While Republicans continue to play games and block efforts to improve the lives of working people, Democrats are delivering for you.”

By Ryan Nicol

Several major national Democratic organizations are funding an ad buy in three Florida congressional districts to promote new child tax credit payments set to hit Americans’ bank accounts.

Those payments will begin rolling out Thursday as part of the American Rescue Plan, approved by Democrats in Congress earlier this year.

“Thanks to President Biden and Democrats, 39 million households will start receiving monthly tax cuts on Thursday, helping middle-class families pay rent, put food on the table, and save for the future,” said Jaime Harrison, chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), which is one of the groups behind the new ad launch.

By Greg Bluestein

Democrats are launching a barrage of ads in Georgia and other battleground states to highlight the monthly payments for most American families with children that will land in bank accounts starting Thursday.

The ads, financed by a slate of national Democratic groups, promote the expanded child tax credit that will deliver monthly payments of up to $300 for each dependent child. It’s part of the $1.9 trillion stimulus measure that Democrats passed in March over unified Republican opposition.

“Thanks to Democrats, help is here,” proclaims the ad, which is designed to boost U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock and U.S. Reps. Carolyn Bourdeaux and Lucy McBath in competitive re-election campaigns next year.

National Democrats backed up that message with cash on Wednesday, as they announced the launch of a digital advertising campaign in a trio of key Pennsylvania U.S. House seats where they’re touting the payments: The 7th District, now held by U.S. House Rep. Susan Wild; the 8th District, now held by U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright, and suburban Pittsburgh’s 17th District, how held by U.S. Rep. Conor Lamb.

Three national Democratic groups are joining to launch digital ads in New Hampshire and several other battleground states praising the expanded child care tax credit payments that are scheduled to begin arriving to eligible Americans today.

The ad program, which is described as five-figures nationally, is being sponsored by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and Democratic National Committee.
