DNC on October Jobs Report

| DNC Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement in response to the October jobs report, which shows that the economy added another 531,000 last month: “Today’s great news is another indication that President Joe Biden’s economic plan is working as we learned the economy added a quarter of a million more jobs than previously reported in the previous two months in addition to the more than half a million jobs added in October. The economic recovery continues to shatter expectations thanks to the tireless work of President Biden and Democrats to pass the American Rescue Plan and get the American people vaccinated. 5.6 million Americans are already back to work and Democrats are on the cusp of passing historic investments to keep creating jobs, growing the economy, and lowering costs for families. “Republicans have proved they will oppose any and all efforts to deliver for hardworking Americans. Despite their best efforts, Democrats will not relent and will continue to work to pass the rest of President Biden’s economic agenda and build our economy back better – not just for the top, but for every family in the United States.” |
