DNC Unveils New Billboard in Des Moines Highlighting The American Rescue Plan; Senator Grassley’s and Ernst’s Opposition to $1,400 Relief Checks

Today, the Democratic National Committee is unveiling a new billboard in Des Moines, highlighting that help is here with the American Rescue Plan and how it will send $1,400 checks to households and help get shots in the arms of Iowans. The billboard also highlights that this bill passed without the help of either Iowa Senator.

The billboard is located on 14th Street in downtown Des Moines near the State Capitol. It will be up for one week.

“Voters in Des Moines won’t be able to miss this message: help is here, and it’s because of President Biden, not Senators Scott or Graham who opposed this bill and the relief it provides Iowans,” said DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. “With measures including direct payments of up to $1,400 per person and resources to help manufacture and distribute vaccines, the American Rescue Plan will provide the relief working families need and overwhelmingly want, while showing that the government is again working for the people.”
