NEW POLL: Americans Overwhelmingly Oppose Trump’s Medicare & Medicaid Cuts

A new poll shows that Americans overwhelmingly oppose Trump’s more than $1 trillion cuts to Medicare and Medicaid in his new budget and are less likely to vote for him because of his broken promises to protect these vital programs.

 

Americans overwhelmingly oppose Trump’s proposed Medicare and Medicaid cuts:

 

  • 72% of Americans oppose the Medicare cuts in Trump’s budget.

 

  • 60% of Americans oppose the Medicaid cuts in Trump’s budget.

 

A majority of voters are less likely to vote for Trump because of his broken promises:

 

  • 50% of voters say they are less likely to vote for Trump because he broke his promise to not cut Medicare and Medicaid.

 

  • 54% of voters say they are less likely to vote for Trump because he wants to cut Medicare and Medicaid after giving a massive tax cut to big corporations.
