DNC raises nearly $40 million in first four months under Ken Martin, nearly double 2017

Today, the Democratic National Committee announced that fundraising under Chair Ken Martin’s first four months is the highest in DNC history under any chair’s first four months — totaling nearly $40 million in individual contributions, powered largely by grassroots donors who are fired up to elect Democrats and defeat Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans’ billionaire-first agenda. 

In the first four months of Chair Martin’s leadership:

• The DNC has brought in more contributions from donors large and small than in the first four months of any Chair in DNC history.
• This record fundraising is largely powered by grassroots donors who are chipping in to defeat Trump’s reckless agenda and power Democratic victories up and down the ballot. Already, Democrats have won or overperformed in 32 key elections in 2025.
• These contributions are all delivered into the DNC’s general fund, allowing the Committee to spend where it counts — on building up critical infrastructure from tech to organizing to in-state investments for critical, target races. 
• This strong fundraising shows that Democrats are getting up off the mat faster and stronger than we have following a presidential cycle loss. Contributions in the first four months of this year are nearly 2:1 dollars raised in the months after the 2016 cycle.  
• Additionally, the DNC broke grassroots fundraising records under Ken Martin’s tenure as Chair, with the highest February and March ever reported in DNC history. 
• And this May, the DNC outpaced grassroots fundraising during the presidential election cycle in May 2023 and May 2024, and raised twice as much in grassroots dollars this May as in May 2017.

This is only the start, but it’s a record-setting start that allows Democrats to meaningfully invest in every part of the country. Let’s get back in the game, keep winning races across the ballot, beat the Republicans in Virginia and New Jersey, and then take back Congress in 2026. Our grassroots donors are sending a message to Donald Trump and rubber-stamp Republicans who are trying to steal health care from working people in exchange for billionaire tax handouts. It will cost them their majority.”
