Presidential Piggy Bank: How Much Trump (and Musk) Raked in at Taxpayers’ Expense This Week

Costs are skyrocketing, thousands of Americans are losing jobs, and it will only get worse — but Donald Trump and his billionaire Cabinet are focused on only one thing: lining their pockets at the expense of the American people. From Day One, Trump has abused the presidency for his own profit and this week was no different.

Here are Trump’s top grifts of the week — and how much he’s making off them:

PAY FOR PLAY

💰Grift: Trump pardoned Paul Walczak — a fraudster about to go to jail and pay back $4.4 million (what ever happened to getting rid of fraud? 🤷‍♂️).

Trump’s Cut: Walczak was only pardoned after his mother paid $1 million to Trump’s political operation.

“FREE” PLANE

💰Grift: Trump is “very proud” to accept a $400 million luxury jet from Qatar with absolutely no idea what it will cost the American people.

Trump’s Cut: $135 million to maintain the plane every year and potentially over $1 billion to retrofit the plan as Air Force One.

CRYPTO SCAM

💰Grift: After Trump promoted his memecoin from behind the presidential seal, he sent JD Vance to Las Vegas to double down on the Trump administration’s crypto grifts.

Trump’s Cut: Nearly 40% of Trump’s net worth comes from his crypto holdings — approximately $2.9 billion.

ELON’S GOODBYE PARTY

💰Grift: Before Musk was booted from the White House, Trump gave him billions in federal contracts (including $38.85 million to Musk’s SpaceX) and pressured countries to give his company favorable trade terms. Musk’s net worth skyrocketed while working in the Trump administration.

Trump’s Cut: After Musk funneled millions into Trump’s campaign, he promised to give $100 million to groups “controlled by the president’s team” (But unfortunately for Trump, the money “hasn’t come in yet.”)
