Trump Ignores The Pandemic As Tens Of Thousands Of Americans Have Died Since The Election

In the weeks since the election, Trump has tweeted lies about the election hundreds of times, held almost no public events, and ignored the pandemic that continues to surge uncontrolled across the country.

Since the election, Trump has tweeted lies about the election hundreds of times, but done nothing to control the pandemic.

New York Times: “In the three weeks since Election Day, President Trump’s most visible presence has been on Twitter. Since Nov. 3, he has posted some 550 tweets — about three-quarters of which attempted to undermine the integrity of the 2020 election results. … As Mr. Trump’s attacks continue, the coronavirus pandemic rages on, worse than ever. … Mr. Trump’s public calendar, meanwhile, has been remarkably light, especially relative to his pre-election schedule, when he often attended multiple campaign rallies in a single day.”

While Trump ignores the coronavirus, tens of thousands of Americans have died in the past three weeks and hospitalizations continue to shatter records.

Washington Post: “More than 85,000 covid patients hospitalized nationwide, shattering records yet again”

New York Times: “More than 25,000 people in the United States have died from Covid in the past three weeks.’

A new model predicts that we could reach 20 million cases in under two months, and Dr. Fauci warned there could be a “stunning number of deaths.

FAUCI: “You do the math on that. Two to three thousand deaths a day times a couple of months, and you’re approaching a really stunning number of deaths.”

CNN: “Covid-19 is running unabated across almost every American community, and one model projects it will take the country just under two months to reach a staggering 20 million cases. The US could nearly double its current numbers — about 12.4 million reported infections — by January 20, according to the Washington University in St. Louis forecasting model.”
