VIDEO: Ronna McDaniel Blames Democrats for Package Bomb Attacks

Asked on Fox News’ Cavuto Live about this week’s package bomb attacks, RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel cast blame on Democrats — including two of the people targeted — claiming that they were “escalating what we’re seeing in this country and the division and these violent acts.” In response, DNC Deputy Communications Director and Spokesperson Sabrina Singh issued the following statement:

“Violence has no place in our country, and we cannot let fear undermine our democracy or silence our voices. Donald Trump’s calls for unity ring hollow after he has spent the entirety of his political career dividing the nation, bullying fellow Americans, and preaching hate toward his political opponents. We need leaders who will bring us together, not try to tear us apart, which is why – when they go low, we go vote.”

RONNA MCDANIEL STATEMENTS:

In the statement below, McDaniel points to comments made by Rep. Maxine Waters and former Attorney General Eric Holder: two of the targets of yesterday’s attacks.

“Yeah, we don’t — finger-pointing isn’t going to help here… As we’ve seen Democrat leaders time and time again say, “Go get in the face of Republicans,” “When they go low, let’s kick them.” That is not the rhetoric we need to hear from our leaders. And it is escalating what we’re seeing in this country and the division and these violent acts. “
