Now Open: Submissions to Trump and Vance’s Fraud Program

Today, Donald Trump and “Fraud Czar” JD Vance announced their so-called “Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program.” While they pay lip service to “draining the swamp,” Trump, his family, and his administration actually have taken every opportunity to enrich themselves and have engaged in pay-to-play politics, like making shady business deals, taking expensive gifts from foreign governments, and handing out favors to their wealthy and well-connected donors.

In response, DNC Deputy Communications Director Kendall Witmer released the following statement:

“Donald Trump and JD Vance are attempting to gaslight and distract the American people from noticing the rampant corruption happening right under their noses at the White House. As everyday Americans dip into their savings and take on debt just to make ends meet, Trump, his kids, and his administration have made billions off their access to the White House — and ‘Fraud Czar’ Vance looks the other way. Let’s be clear: the overwhelming majority of Americans believe Trump is using the presidency to enrich himself, and in two weeks, voters are going to hold Republicans accountable for rubber-stamping this out-of-control corruption.”

Vance claims, “If somebody’s selling access to the White House, that’s disgusting and despicable, and they should suffer consequences,” but here are just a handful of the many examples of the pay-to-play politics that Vance has chosen to ignore:

Donald Trump:

  • The Trump family’s net worth has nearly doubled since the 2024 election to a whopping $10 billion, and Trump himself raked in at least $2 billion since returning to the White House — more than any other year.
  • Trump has pardoned or granted clemency to more than 70 people convicted of fraud, such as those involved in healthcare and nursing home schemes, potentially giving hundreds of millions of dollars owed to taxpayers and victims of fraud back to the convicted fraudsters.
  • Trump’s own DOJ created a $1.8 billion political slush fund of taxpayer dollars for Trump’s political allies, including January 6 rioters, before Trump’s Justice Department backed away following bipartisan political backlash.
  • Trump, his sons, and his family’s business filed a lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service and Treasury Department, seeking $10 billion of taxpayer dollars. The case was dismissed, but Trump’s Justice Department covertly signed a broadly worded addendum stating that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is “forever barred and precluded” from pursuing “examinations” of past tax returns filed by Trump, his family, and his companies.
  • Trump threw himself a lavish $60 million UFC birthday party that promoted Trump-branded gold coins while the broadcast announced that fighters would be paid an additional $250,000 in crypto from World Liberty Financial (WLF), the Trump family crypto company.
  • Trump is set to host “the most exclusive dinner in the world” for the 185 biggest buyers of his $Trump meme coin. The top 29 customers will get to attend a “VIP Reception” with the president, and the four biggest patrons will also receive an 18-karat Trump-branded gold watch.
  • The Trump administration illegally used taxpayer dollars to fund political propaganda ads in a desperate attempt to boost Republicans’ plummeting approval ratings ahead of the midterms.
  • A subsidiary owned by the private prison company GEO Group donated more than $1.4 million to Trump’s super PAC after the Trump administration awarded the company $165 million annually in federal contracts to operate ICE detention centers.
  • Trump was gifted a $400 million luxury jet from Qatar and is forcing taxpayers to foot the bill for up to$1 billion for upgrades to the jet.
  • Trump made more than 3,600 stock trades in the first quarter of 2026 alone, potentially valued at more than $100 million.

Vance and the Trump administration:

  • While serving as Vice President, Vance simultaneously serves as the RNC’s finance chair and has taken money from questionable donors, including more than $1 million from executives of health care companies that paid civil penalties for alleged Medicare fraud, $443,000 from the CEO of Texas-based Legacy Medical Consultants after their vice president of sales was indicted on charges related to health care fraud, and $443,000 contribution from the previous executive of a set of Ohio-based health care companies that agreed to pay $19.5 million in 2017 to resolve allegations that they falsified Medicare claims.
  • Vance has been bankrolled by billionaires with interests in front of the administration, including his longtime political benefactor, Peter Thiel.
  • Former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem directed at least $375 million in taxpayer money toward vanity projects, including $172 million for private jets, $2.4 million for gold-detailed ICE vehicles, $120,000 for Mustangs for ICE, and $700,000 for tricked-out ICE trucks.
  • Noem approved spending hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars on marked-up luxury planes that went to a firm led by one of Noem’s political donors.
  • Noem spent over $200 million in taxpayer money to fund an ad campaign, some of which went to a private firm to which Noem has longstanding personal and business ties.
  • Former Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle resigned after she was exposed for engaging in “a quid pro quo” by begging a major Trump donor for $100,000 to pay her credit card bill ahead of her confirmation hearing. Guilfoyle attempted to hide the six-figure request by telling the donor, “It won’t show up anywhere if you wire money to American Express.”
  • Trump’s Justice Department dropped a criminal investigation into Border Czar Tom Homan, who was recorded accepting $50,000 from undercover FBI agents seeking government contracts.
  • Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy filmed a taxpayer-funded family road trip series over seven months while he was on the clock — paid for in part with taxpayer funds and Department of Transportation-regulated corporate sponsorships — raising serious ethical concerns. Coincidentally, Duffy rolled back airline consumer protections around the same time.

Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr.:

  • Eric and Don Jr. have used their close connection to the administration to further their business ventures while the administration has funneled hundreds of millions of dollars into numerous companies linked to Trump’s children.
  • Trump was listed as “Co-Founder Emeritus” of the Trump family’s cryptocurrency venture that launched during the 2024 campaign, while his sons Eric and Don Jr. were “Co-Founders.”
  • Earlier this year, a Russian oligarch with close ties to Vladimir Putin secretly paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to rent out an island and set off fireworks for Don Jr.’s wedding.
  • At least four portfolio companies of Don Jr.’s fund 1789 Capital have won defense contracts amounting to more than $735 million from the Trump administration.
  • Eric Trump joined his father on an official state visit to Beijing while a company linked to Eric and the Trump family’s crypto business explored a deal with a Chinese firm that American lawmakers have warned poses a national security threat.

Jared Kushner:

  • Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, served as the key dealmaker in Gaza while his private equity company, Affinity Partners, has held the largest stake in an Israeli firm backing businesses involved in Israel’s military campaigns.
  • Kushner also secured a $2 billion investment from Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund.
