In response to AG Sessions’ testimony today before the Senate Intelligence Committee, DNC chair Tom Perez released the following statement:
“Attorney General Sessions had no legal basis for his refusal to answer key questions about his conversations with President Trump. This kind of stonewalling is more than just a disservice to the American people, who deserve to know the truth about the president, it’s a disgrace to his office and to the oath he took to defend our nation’s Constitution. Both parties should reject this affront to Congressional oversight and use their authority to demand answers for the American people.”
