While big pharma made billions from the Trump tax law, many Americans had to pay more. Here’s all you need to know:
Four pharma companies alone saved $7 BILLION from the Trump tax law.
Axios: “Four pharmaceutical companies — Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Merck and Abbott Laboratories — collectively kept $7 billion in tax savings in 2018 due to Republicans’ 2017 corporate tax overhaul, according to a new Oxfam report.”
Meanwhile, more Americans say it RAISED their taxes than lowered them.
CBS News: “Four in 10 Americans say their taxes haven’t been impacted by the tax law changes that went into effect in 2018. For those who do see a change, more say it has made their taxes higher (32 percent) than lower (25 percent).”
CNBC: “As the annual IRS filing deadline of April 15 approaches, just 17% believe their own taxes will go down, the NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll found. By contrast, 28% believe they’ll pay more, 27% expect to pay about the same and 28% don’t know enough to say.”
