As coronavirus cases in children spike across the country, Trump still has not listened to medical experts or ensured students, teachers, and families will be safe as he pushes for schools to restart in-person classes. He continues to claim that children are “immune” and that the virus will “disappear.” And today at the White House, he’s expected to continue this push, even as experts and parents worry about the potentially deadly consequences.

In response, the DNC War Room is releasing a new video, “Trump Should Know Better,” blasting Trump for ignoring the facts and needlessly putting children in danger as he continues with his disastrous coronavirus response.

“Parents and teachers don’t trust Donald Trump to make the right call on schools when he’s ignored the science and rejected experts,” said DNC War Room senior spokesperson and advisor Lily Adams. “Even after more than 160,000 Americans have died and millions have lost their jobs, Trump continues to follow his failed playbook: lie and downplay the threat of the virus and make decisions based on what he thinks will benefit him politically. As a result, American families continue to weather chaos as Trump prolongs this crisis.”
