The Democratic Party elects leaders who fight for equality, justice, and opportunity for all.

The DNC is working around the clock to build a strong Democratic Party capable of lifting Democrats all across the country to victory in 2019, 2020, and beyond, from the state house, to the Senate, to the White House. Each victory will take all of us – candidates, supporters, and the DNC – working together.

Primary nomination process and the 2020 convention

The DNC is charged with facilitating the Democratic presidential nominating process, and is more committed than ever to ensuring a fair, even-handed, and inclusive primary. We’ve passed historic reforms to give the grassroots a bigger voice than ever before and to showcase our candidates on an array of media platforms, including 12 Democratic presidential primary debates. This will put our eventual nominee in the strongest position possible to take back the White House in 2020.

The Democratic presidential nominating process culminates at the 2020 DNC Convention, where delegates from all 57 states and territories will cast their votes to officially nominate our party’s nominee for President of the United States. The 2020 Convention will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in July 2020. Learn more.

The War Room

The DNC War Room is a battleground states-focused research and rapid response unit made up of dozens of research, communications, and mobilization experts entirely dedicated to kicking Trump out of the Oval Office in 2020. The War Room is a hub for state parties, candidates, and activists that lifts up the stories of the real people most devastated by Trump’s disgraceful policies. By holding Trump accountable, we’ll be able to make sure he stays a one-term president. Follow the War Room on Twitter here.

Organizing Corps 2020

We know the key to defeating Donald Trump in 2020 will be to organize early and often. That’s why the DNC is investing in training the next generation of community organizers to work on the 2020 election cycle through an unprecedented new program, Organizing Corps 2020. The national Democratic Party is recruiting and training homegrown organizers in key battleground states, including Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. Our eventual Democratic presidential nominee will rely on this program to build a world-class field team to organize and win in 2020, so this program couldn’t be more crucial to the future of the Democratic Party. Follow Organizing Corps 2020 on Twitter for the latest updates.

Voter protection and civic engagement

No matter how many voters we turn out to the polls, we know Democrats can’t win if voters are kept from registering to vote, kicked off the voter rolls, or face barriers when casting their ballots. That’s why the DNC invested in a full-time, national English- and Spanish-language voter hotline to help Americans check their registration status and determine how, when, and where to vote. We know races up and down the ballot will be won or lost by razor-thin margins, so we have to be ready to defend every American’s right to vote.

The DNC is committed to sustaining the momentum we gained during the 2018 election cycle, which is why we’re continuing programs that helped propel Democrats nationwide to success in 2017 and 2018. From Seat at the Table, an initiative to meaningfully engage and organize with Black women; to Mujeres Mobilized, a program to engage, empower, and organize alongside Latinas; to New Blue Crew, which aims to mobilize young voters and student leaders, the Democratic Party is working amplify the voices of our core constituency groups and empower them as key decision makers within our party.

These programs and much more will be fundamental to the Democratic Party’s success in 2019, 2020, and the years ahead – they’ll also actively improve the strength of our fair and vibrant democracy. We hope you’ll join this fight for a better, fairer, and brighter future. Learn more.
