In response to Trump’s Labor Day remarks, DNC War Room senior spokesperson and advisor Lily Adams released the following statement:

“Instead of addressing the millions of Americans who remain unemployed, the more than 100,000 small businesses that have closed for good, or the families who are struggling to make ends meet this Labor Day, Trump gave an incoherent speech focused on himself. During Trump’s 46 minute diatribe, he made no effort to honor the American labor movement, which he has repeatedly undermined and tried to dismantle throughout his presidency. Instead, Trump ignored the economic havoc he’s created and lied his way through a series of debunked political attacks. American workers need a leader who will fight for them and represent them, not someone whose only interest is fighting for himself.”
